All-over Antique Caucasian Konakend Rug, XIX century.

A Caucasian carpet much coveted by collectors and lovers of Caucasian carpets. The desing is very distinguishble due to the typical design of the field that we can find only on this kind of caucasion rugs from Quba Konaghend. The field is filled with a dense chased patterns on this rug to wich the motif is superimposed – a lattice of large lozanges can only be distinguished from some distance. In the center of each of these lozenges blooms a pink or light yellow, blue and red flower on a dark blue background. Very unusual the main border sorrounded by a very accurate medacyl pattern.
