Rug Description

An antique Karabagh long kelleh, South Caucasus
Size, approx: 405cm. x 141cm.
The shaded indigo field with stylised birds around double soft red and aqua-blue medallions with multiple pendants. Red spandrels with angular floral tendrils. In shaded indigo angular floral and leafy vine border between flowering vine, barber-pole, reciprocal and plain stripes.
Great example for this type with very nicely drawn design and very good colour combination. Bold appearance. Apart of very light touches of wear to the p top pile this runner has very good pile, soft and lustrous wool quality.
Selvages and ends secured. In general this piece is in very good usable condition. Very attractive and elegant piece.
