Rug Description
This is a Kuba Runner from the northern part of Azerbaijan and was woven during the end of the 19th century. This runner is a rare example of a Kuba rug due to the light blue field color and that the drawing of the field is well spaced and not crowded by many small motifs. The spaciousness creates a dramatic visual impact on the viewer and many rug collectors highly desire . This runner has been woven on an all wool foundation with 100% wool pile and all natural vegetable colors. Wear can be seen through out the rug but this is consistent with its age and is expected.
