Rug Description
This is a rare Kuba runner woven in the Caucasus mountains during the end of the 19th century. This runner has an unusual blue colored field with a central axis of geometric and animal motifs. The ivory border creates color contrast against the blue field and the leaf motifs in the ivory border create a dramatic color contrast. This rug has an extremely fine weave and highly saturated colors making this example a highly collectible piece. This rug is in overall good condition and is ready to be used in any hallway or added to any tribal rug collection.??
