Antique Caucasian Shirvan Rug ca. 1900. A very particular antque Shirvan carpet with mirhab-oriented design. The midnight blue background of this unusual Caucasian Shirvan prayer rug is adorned with rather pronounced palmette motifs in antique pink, ocher and pastel shades. The main motifs of the background are surrounded by small motifs of rosettes, crosses and stars. The internal profile of the background of this antique Caucasian Shrivan rug is decorated with small botehs both in the internal part of the niche and on the upper external part. The main border of this antique Shirvan carpet, on a pink background, bears the flower or eight-pointed star motif, in a delicate succession of tones. The pile of this antique Caucasian Shirvan carpet is very soft and compact. The excellent state of conservation, the dimensions easy to place in any environment.
