Rug Description
This is a Kazak Borchalu from the causation mountains woven circa 1880. It has a classic Borchalu border design with hooked half medallions that create a zigzag design in the negative space. The field has a tomato red colored background with hooked medallions on the center axis. The rug is in overall good condition with some areas with low pile that is consistent with its age.
