Rug Description

A fine Kazak rug, South Caucasus.

The abrashed deep rust field with various angular floral motifs and hooked panels around double hooked octagon medallions containing hooked bars, Green stellar flower head and animal figure spandrels. In an Ivory, blue and green triple border of hooked vine and stylised rosettes between barber-pole stripes.

Well drawn design, bold appearance with well-balanced colours. This rug has full pile, soft wool quality. Ends and selvages original. I’m general very good usable condition. Attractive and good furnishing piece.
