Rug Description
The light beige field with overall design of diagonal columns of polychrome panels in key-pattern frames containing hooked open rosettes and linked by small rosette panels. In sandy-beige bold and hooked palmettes between floral meander and plain stripes.
Very good type and unusual design with great border. This piece has wear to the top pile, down to knot collar and below. Selvages original. Touches of old repairs, well done. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general this carpet is in good usable condition. Very good example for 18th century from Khotan.
