Rug Description

A fine Bakhtiari narrow kelleh, West Persia
Size, approx: 404cm. x 122cm.
The deep indigo field with angular floral vine aroid three large multicoloured double floral medallions, each containing floral bouquet centrepiece. Half panel with floral bouquet at each side. In double floral meander border between reciprocal stripes. Very good and bold design. Well balanced colours. This carpet has very good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general this carpet is in very good condition. Very attractive and great furnishing piece.
