Rug Description
This is a Khamseh rug woven in southwest Persia during the 1890’s. It has the highly sought after chicken motifs and uniquely it has an all over chicken design with no medallions or other motifs. It has been woven on a wool foundation with 100% wool pile. It has some areas of low wear that is constant with its age.
