Rug Description
Hand-knotted Antique Persian Kashan Rug with Kurk Wool. 1920-1950 ca. A rare Kashan carpet with an ivory background, all-over design, small in size. The main design is made up of a sinuous dance of floral motifs that follow one another in a very refined play of colors and shades. The border of this Kashan carpet is decidedly original, breaking away from classic stylistic canons. In this case, the style of the border is defined by a more rigid and angular style, almost symbolizing the frame of a painting embellishing the content of the drawing. Kashan carpets always know how to surprise us by managing to coexist with both classic and modern environments. The state of conservation of this Kashan carpet is excellent.
