The base of the hazelnut colored background is almost completely occupied by very dense “mille fleur” style compositions supported by a delicately chiseled vase. The balance of tones, the silkiness of the wools, and the extraordinary symmetry of this antique Kashan Motasham rug is simply stunning. The main border preludes and accompanies the sumptuousness of the background, defining at the same time the decorative elements present in it and in the minor lateral borders. This antique Kashan Motasham carpet is a true masterpiece, in perfect condition and ready to be placed in a fairytale setting.
