Rug Description
A fine antique Kirman Laver carpet, South Persia
Size, approx: 482cm. x 415cm.
The field with large shaped lattice containing polychrome panels with various multicoloured floral panels, angular floral vine and stylised trees. In an indigo border of large floral cartouches and floral meander between multiple palmette vine and barber-pole stripes. Very good example for this type with classic colour scheme, well balanced. This carpet has localised wear to the pile down to knot collar and below in places, otherwise good pile. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes, secured.
Despite imperfections, this carpet is in good usable condition.
