Rug Description
This is an antique Kirman rug woven in Southeast Persia during the beginning of the 20th century circa 1900 and measures 403 x 290CM in size. this piece was woven by the famous rug weaver known as “Milani” and his productions are highly collectible and can be found in top collections as well as in the Tehran rug museum. This carpet’s design consists of different types of shrubs some with faces at their base alongside four cypress trees and bird motifs all ascending towards the top of the rug set on a beige background color. the border consists of alternating cartouches with arabesque design and medallions set on the same page background color as the field. This piece has been preserved in overall great condition retaining all its original full pile and fringes.
