Antique Classic Mishan Persian, 1900 ca.

A splendid artefact that fully embodies the decorative style in the manufacture of Persian carpets with a central medallion. Lively and cheerful in the beautifully modulated and expertly contrasted shades, the carpet is contained by a “herati” motif border. The counter border contains the ivory background on which a medallion with an oval shape develops and is further tapered by two pendants. The floral motifs with flowering sprigs are well proportioned and well distributed across the entire background, offering definition and a strong “personality” of this ancient Mishan Malayer carpet, much finer than its “cousins” attributed to the Malayer manufacture. A carpet suitable for classic settings, a true jewel in excellent condition that can be placed on the floor with the certainty of also appreciating the structural robustness which allows for greater stability and an astonishing effect on both wooden and marble floors.  Explore our collection of rare antique persian rugs.
