Rug Description

An antique Mishan long kelleh, West Persia
Size, approx: 391cm. x 107cm.
The soft ivory field with overall diagonal rows of stylised polychrome palmettes, and angular floral sprays flanked by hooked boteh and serrated leaves. In an ivory border of small panel angular vine and hooked leaves between hooked boteh and plain stripes. Good overall design and very good colour combination. This carpet has slight localised wear to the top pile, barely visible. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general this carpet is in very good usable condition. Good furnishing piece with good size.
