Rug Description
Antique North West Persia Carpet, XIX Century. An exceptional graphic and chromatic representation of the Bid Majnun (or Tereh Assur) motif with a design composed of willow trees, cypress and flowering trees on a midnight blue background. The carpet is very bright both due to the sharp contrasts and the presence of a very particular shade of yellow which further enhances the definition of the details. The borders are very rich in terms of finesse and distribution of the filling motifs which bring a stylization of the Chi Chi border with a diagonal bar alternating with rosettes, to the main “crab” border. Excellent state of preservation, very fine knotting. Explore our collection of Antique North West Persian rugs.
