Rug Description

A fine antique signed Yazd carpet, South Persia
Size, approx: 573cm. x 410cm
The field with stylised garden design of polychrome double panels with floral spray and bold palmettes flanked by small floral motifs. All surrounded be angular floral vine stripes divided by rosette octagons in a lattice shape. Border with cypress trees, floral sprays and birds between multiple flowering vine and liked chain stripes. Unusual and very we drawn garden design with very good colour combination, seldom found in this type. This carpet has full pile, soft and lustrous wool quality. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with sharp fringes, secured. In general this carpet is in very good condition throughout.
