Textile Description
This is an antique Indian cashmere shawl woven during the beginning of the 19th century circa 1800 -1820’s and measures 315 x 144CM in size. The design of this piece is created with two center columns decorated with Paisley and arabesque motifs ascending towards the center of the rug where there is located an open field X shape design with blossoming flowers in the corners. this textile has an extra-large size which is a rare feature that adds to its collectability. It also has been preserved in excellent extension making it a highly desirable piece.
