This is a Sarouk Farahan horse cover from central Persia and it was woven circa 1880.  This horse cover has a navy blue open field design decorated with vases full of flowers and the corners of the field have the famous herati motif. This rare collectible rug is in perfect condition and has been woven on a cotton foundation with 100% will pile. These horse cover are rare examples of tribal artwork that can be used as a piece of art to decorate homes with or add to any rug collection.
